Bribes

In the rapidly evolving DeFi space, voter bribes have emerged as a popular concept among various protocols. By offering rewards or bribes to veUP holders, protocols are able to incentivize them to vote for their pools. The success of this mechanism has been observed by many protocols, including UpDEX, which has implemented a similar mechanism. Here, anyone can attach a bribe to a gauge, and those who vote for it are eligible to claim the rewards.
In addition to voter bribes, UpDEX has also introduced a novel concept of negative voting. With this mechanism, users are given the ability to prevent emissions from going to a specific pool. This not only empowers the community to have a say in the direction of the protocol, but also promotes transparency and fairness in the DeFi space. UpDEX's innovative approach to governance and incentives is a testament to the rapid evolution and maturation of the DeFi ecosystem.
